The Syro-Malabar Youth Movement (SMYM) is the official youth movement of the Syro-Malabar Church, dedicated to nurturing young people in faith and helping them become active and responsible members of the Church and society. It provides a platform for young people to grow spiritually, develop their talents, build meaningful friendships, and discover their vocation and mission in life.
Within the Eparchy of Great Britain, SMYM plays an important role in bringing together Syro-Malabar youth through prayer, faith formation, retreats, fellowship, cultural programmes, social initiatives, and various parish activities. The movement encourages young people to live their Christian faith confidently while preserving and sharing the rich traditions and spiritual heritage of the Syro-Malabar Church.
Through its activities, SMYM seeks to form young people as committed disciples of Christ and future leaders of the Church, inspiring them to serve God and others with love, responsibility, and a missionary spirit. It strives to build a vibrant youth community where faith, fellowship, service, and leadership come together for the growth of both the individual and the Church.
